When Curry is off of the floor, the Golden State Warriors’ points per 100 possessions drops by over 18 points. Fortunately for Golden State, Curry, averaging 30.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6.0 assists, has played in all 29 games this season, and will be available once again on Friday evening to lead the Dubs to victory against the Orlando Magic.

Golden State and Orlando met eight days ago at the Chase Center–the Warriors emerging victorious in that game 111-105, although the final score ended up being closer than the margin was during the majority of the fourth quarter. This time around, Draymond Green is questionable with an injury, but that should not scare bettors away from taking Golden State here.

They defeated Miami a couple of nights ago without Green. In this matchup, the Warriors are facing a far-inferior Orlando team that ranks in the bottom-half of the NBA in assists and nearly every meaningful defensive category.

The Magic are winless in nine attempts this season against teams with a winning record. Expect them to struggle once again against a good team. Take the Warriors.

Game Totals Pick

Golden State has the fifth-ranked defensive efficiency in the league. They are holding their opponents to a stifling 43.9 percent from the field and 36.9 percent from beyond the arc. They rank third in the league in contested shots per game, rarely allowing an easy look at the rim.

The Warriors play at the second-fastest pace in the NBA but their point totals are held down by an offensive efficiency that ranks 20th overall.

Orlando is similarly inefficient at the offensive end of the floor, and prefers to slow things down–ranking 20th in pace. The Magic take only 13.5 percent of their shots in the first six seconds of the shot clock which is one of the lowest rates of any team.

Check on the status of Green before placing a wager on the under in this one. However, even if he sits, the under is still in play, albeit with a little bit less certainty.
