Phoenix go into Game 2 looking to bounce back from a blowout defeat that left them 0-1 in this series.

The Suns put together a 49-33 regular-season record to hold off New Orleans in the race for the final playoff place in the Western Conference.

They won seven of their final 10 regular season games, starting with a 104-97 win in Denver, before bouncing back from a 128-130 loss at Oklahoma City with wins over New Orleans, 124-111, Cleveland, 122-101, and Minnesota, 97-87.

Phoenix’s run was halted by a 113-105 defeat to New Orleans and a 105-92 loss to the LA Clippers, but they hit back on the road by beating the Clippers 124-108, Sacramento 108-107 and Minnesota 125-106.

The Suns failed to keep that run going in their first playoff game though, suffering a 120-95 defeat in Minnesota.

Minnesota Timberwolves Form

Minnesota go into this game looking to double their lead before they head out on the road for the next two games.

The Timberwolves narrowly missed out on top spot in the Western Conference, finishing a single game behind Oklahoma City with a 56-26 record.

Four defeats in their final 10 games proved to be their undoing in the race for the number one seed, with two of those defeats coming in their last three games.

Minnesota sandwiched a 109-106 win over Atlanta with a 116-107 defeat in Denver and a 125-106 loss to Phoenix to close out the regular season.

The Timberwolves did dominate their postseason opener though, as they blew out Phoenix 120-95 in Game 1.

Phoenix's record against Minnesota over the past couple of years is strong, but Game 1 was ugly.

The have dropped two of their last three games in the Twin Cities and their overall form isn't great, so we are taking the Timberwolves in Game 2.
