Despite Adelaide being a top three 3-point shooting team, they went after the Kings in the paint outsourcing Sydney 60-42 in the area.

Montrezl Harrell (23P+11R) and Isaac Humphries (19P+9R) combined for 42 points and 20 rebounds while Kendric Davis enjoyed some space at times with 30 points and 6 assists.

Adelaide’s starting 5 are as good as any in the competition with Davis, Harrell, Vasiljevic, Humphries and Mayen able to mix it with the best.

If they are to secure a spot in the finals they are going to need to get a little more out of their bench, especially Jarrell Martin who has been having an up and down season due to injury and varied court time.

The loss to the Bullets was the Breakers sixth in seven matches and ended any twinkling of hope they may have had of playing in the postseason.

With injuries and suspensions and the like, it was always going to be hard for the Breakers to find the chemistry they needed to stay in play-in contention.

Their defence has done well to be ranked 4th in the NBL in points against, however an offence that is only scoring 85.6 points per game and shooting at just 32.1% from three in this day and age is always going to struggle.
