Adelaide 36ers Form & Team News

Adelaide picked up the scoring in their loss to Brisbane on Friday compared to the paltry effort that they provided last weekend against the JackJumpers. Kendric Davis will return from suspension in this matchup which should give more momentum to the scoring end.

The 36ers have struggled though all season whenever anyone from the starting 5 has been missing. Montrezl Harrell is still suspended until next week and Dejan Vasiljevic is sidelined with injury meaning the bench needs to step in to fill large gaps despite not having contributed much to the scoring this season.

Adelaide’s bench unit are ranked last in the league averaging just 17.4 points per game. They are the worst rebounding team in the league and currently sit at 5th for scoring and 8th in opposition points.

They allow their opposition the best 3pt% and FG% out of any team in the league while forcing few turnovers.

Perth Wildcats Form & Team News

Despite another massive scoring effort by Bryce Cotton who notched up 40 points on Friday, the Wildcats were unable to surpass the 2nd placed Illawarra Hawks going down 121-111.

Perth gave up 64 points in the paint to their opponents and also allowed them to shoot 41% from beyond the arc. The defence was the difference in the end with the home team outdoing their season average in scoring by a good margin. Perth are now the 10th ranked defence in the league giving up an average of 95.7 per game to opponents.

Perth will be missing Kristian Doolittle who picked up a groin injury in the first few minutes of Friday’s game. Keanu Pinder is also out with illness. Their depth has already been tested earlier this season when Bryce Cotton went down and it passed with flying colours.
