The Wildcats took advantage of their full bid of health going up against the Brisbane Bullets who were missing their two starting bigs Josh Bannan and Tyrell Harrison, on Friday night.

The Wildcats had the match wrapped up by the half, up 63-46 at the main break. They found points from all over RAC Arena with eight players scoring in the double digits in their 117-89 victory.

It was all positive signs for Perth who played arguably their best game of the season as they clinched their fifth straight win at home. The Wildcats spread the ball and most importantly made the right decision in both offence and defence.

Three point shooting needs to be a strength of the Cats and they hit at 45% from deep. With a plethora of three shooters such as Bryce Cotton, Dylan Windler, Elijah Pepper and Ben Henshall, Perth need to find their spacing and utilise their depth from beyond the arc more efficiently night in and night out.

New Zealand Breakers Form

The Breakers looked all out of sorts in their first match after the FIBA break with the appearance of Tacko Fall in the lineup and the absence of Next Star Karim Lopez, who was managed after an injury concern for the Mexican who flew home from international duties just a few days prior.

New Zealand gave up 32 points in the first quarter to the fast starting Hawks on Thursday and never recovered.

The impact of Fall on defence was clear with the former Boston Celtic getting three blocks in a 30 sec period in his first stint on the court, however, the offence of the Breakers was disjointed and never found their rhythm often forcing the ball down low in the paint without success.

New Zealand are falling into an offensive slump that has seen them score less than 80 points in their last three games and are now ranked 8th in the league, averaging just 83.9 points per game on offence.
