Sydney Kings Form

Sydney will have had 8 full days of recovery and time to analyse what went wrong in their 105-96 loss to Adelaide the last time they were on the court.

Jaylen Adams 43 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists were not enough to get the Kings past the surging 36ers, who shot at 50% from the field and 47.1% from three in the match.

Sydney has been the toughest team to shoot against in NBL25 with opposition averages of 42.3% from the field and 32.9% (2) from three resulting in the fewest points against at just 87.3 per game.

What Sydney needs is more consistency from their offence which scores at an average of 91 points per game while shooting at 44.2% from the field which ranks 8th.

Despite their offensive troubles, Sydney sit comfortably in third with 16 wins and are still within striking distance of direct entry into the playoffs.

Perth Wildcats Form

Perth turned a 12-point third quarter deficit into a 1-point victory, closing out their match against South East Melbourne by winning the fourth quarter by 12 points and the match 100-99.

The win for the Wildcats broke a two-game losing streak after going down to Melbourne followed by a shock loss to Cairns in double-overtime.

Bryce Cotton led the scoring with 29 points and 6 assists, while Keanu Pinder had 22 points to record his first consecutive 20+ point games this season.

Despite not lighting up the score sheet, the return of Dylan Windler was important for Perth, with their import creating the space for his teammates as the other four Wildcats starters all scored in double-digits.

The Perth offence continues to be its strongest weaponed averaging 99.5 points per game this season and hitting the 100 mark in 5 of their past 6 matches.

Verdict

A rejuvenated Sydney Kings can lean on their defence to stop the high-powered offence of the Perth Wildcats, covering the line as the home favourite in a low-scoring contest.
