Are Tasmania surging or is it too soon to call? It is a little too soon if you look at who they have beaten in their past three games.

A tight four-point win against Adelaide without their two leading scorers is nothing to write home about. The JackJumpers also picked up two wins at home against 9th-placed Brisbane and New Zealand, who have been struggling offensively, playing into the Ants hands.

There are positive signs for Tasmania though with Milton Doyle having two 30+ games in his past four matches. More importantly, the return of guard Sean MacDonald has given the JJ’s a new shape on offence with 13 assists in his two games in NBL25.

Tassie need to continue to build on their offence systems and find their hot and streaking players if they are going to come into contention again this season. Things are pointing in the right direction, but there's more work to be done.
