Valencia vs Joventut Game 1 Live Stream & Tips – One-Sided Clash in ACB Liga Semifinals
Valencia have been a dominant force in Spanish basketball this season, showcasing their strength and superior roster depth compared to Joventut. Though Joventut pulled off a surprise in the quarterfinals, this matchup poses significant challenges for them. The key recommendation is to back Valencia to cover the handicap in Game 1, as their overall talent and form give them a clear edge.

Match Preview
Valencia and Joventut meet in Game 1 of the ACB Liga semifinals on Wednesday. The hosts have been one of the most consistent teams in Spain all season and arrive full of confidence after dispatching Bilbao, while Joventut will look to build on their impressive upset of Baskonia.
Valencia Favored to go All the Way
Valencia had a good run in the ACB Liga regular season, claiming a convincing 102-77 victory against Barcelona in the final round to finish second with a 25-9 record, just one win behind Real Madrid.
The Oranges struggled in the quarterfinal opener against Bilbao at home but ultimately escaped with an 83-80 victory, then finished the job on the road with a much more convincing 88-71 win. Kameron Taylor netted several clutch shots and finished as top scorer with 15 points.
Valencia also enjoyed plenty of success in the EuroLeague, finishing 2nd in the regular season before eliminating Panathinaikos 3-2 in the quarterfinals. Their run ended in the Final Four semifinals where they were beaten by Real Madrid 105-90.
Joventut Hoping to Cause Another Upset
Joventut were highly productive in the closing stages of the ACB Liga regular season, winning four of their last five matches to secure 6th place with a 22-12 record.
Their final-round clash against Basquet Girona had no impact on the standings, so an 82-77 defeat was not particularly damaging, especially with several rotations used to preserve fitness ahead of the playoffs.
After losing the quarterfinal opener in Vitoria, Joventut kept their semifinal hopes alive by crushing Baskonia 82-63 in front of the home crowd. Cameron Hunt delivered one of his best performances of the season, scoring 27 points while shooting 6/8 from beyond the arc.
They then defied the odds in the decisive Game 3, claiming a 96-88 victory last weekend. Veteran Ricky Rubio played a huge role, scoring 23 points and hitting 4/7 three-point attempts.
Verdict
Valencia have been one of the strongest teams in Spain throughout the season and possess far greater depth than Joventut. The visitors deserve credit for their quarterfinal upset, but this looks like a difficult matchup for them. I am backing Valencia to cover the handicap in Game 1.
