Dallas Wings are bottom of the WNBA standings, losing nine of their ten games so far.
Their only win came against Connecticut Sun in late May, securing a dominant 109-87 victory with Paige Bueckers leading the way with 21 points, seven assists, and five rebounds.
Since then, they’ve suffered five consecutive defeats — twice to Chicago Sky (97-92 and 94-83), followed by losses to Seattle Storm (83-77), Los Angeles Sparks (93-79), and most recently Minnesota Lynx (81-65).
Phoenix Mercury Form
Phoenix Mercury have had some inconsistent performances recently but made a strong start to the season and currently sit 2nd in the standings with a 6-4 record.
They opened June with an 85-80 road win against the Sparks, then lost to Minnesota Lynx (88-65), before bouncing back with an 86-77 win over league newcomers Golden State Valkyries.
In their latest outing, Phoenix were beaten 89-77 at home by Seattle Storm after a poor showing in the final quarter. Satou Sabally was their standout performer with 22 points, six assists, and five rebounds.
Verdict
Dallas are on a five-game losing streak and I don’t see them ending it in Arizona, where the Mercury have picked up five wins from seven home games. Backing Phoenix to cover the spread is the best option here.
