Las Vegas Aces are favourites to win this matchup, but I believe the Sparks are being underestimated in the spread. The Aces suffered a humiliating 27-point loss to Golden State last weekend, so I don’t see them beating the LA side by more than nine points.

The Los Angeles Sparks have had a rough start to the 2025 WNBA campaign, earning just three wins from ten games and currently sitting 6th in the Western Conference.
After suffering back-to-back defeats to Atlanta Dream (88-82), Las Vegas Aces (96-81), and Phoenix Mercury (85-80) in late May and early June, they bounced back with a 93-79 win over Dallas on the road.
In their most recent outing, the Sparks hosted league newcomers Golden State Valkyries and fell 89-81. Kelsey Plum led the scoring with 24 points (7/20 FG), along with seven assists and four rebounds.
Las Vegas Aces Form
The Las Vegas Aces have played the fewest games of any team this season, recording four wins from seven matches to sit 3rd in the Western Conference.
They kicked off June with a solid 75-70 road win over Seattle Storm, where A’ja Wilson was named player of the game after putting up 19 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.
However, the Aces couldn’t maintain momentum last weekend, suffering a surprising 95-68 blowout loss to Golden State Valkyries, making just 22 of their 62 field goal attempts.
Verdict
Las Vegas looked poor in their 95-68 defeat to Golden State and, while they’ve had a stronger start than the Sparks, I don’t expect them to win this one by a double-digit margin. Backing the Sparks to cover the spread looks like solid value.
