New York Liberty Form
The Liberty are enjoying a dream start to the 2025 WNBA season, winning all seven games so far and sitting alone at the top of the Eastern Conference.
They wrapped up May with wins over the Golden State Valkyries (95-67 and 82-77) and the Washington Mystics (85-63).
Their strong form continued into June, as they crushed the Connecticut Sun 100-52 at home, with Sabrina Ionescu starring with 18 points, five assists, and two rebounds.
Washington Mystics Form
The Mystics have struggled in 2025, winning just three of their eight games so far.
They pulled off an upset at home in late May, beating the Indiana Fever 83-77, but were then thrashed by the Liberty 85-63 two days later.
In their most recent outing, the Mystics lost 85-76 away to the Fever, despite 20-point contributions from both Kiki Iriafen and Brittney Sykes.
Verdict
The Liberty look like the top title contender this season and are in fantastic form with seven straight wins. They defeated Washington by 22 points in their last meeting, so I’m backing them to win again and cover the –12.5 handicap.
