Last-gasp goals help punter turn tenner into €64,000 in 'bet of the season’

The online Ladbrokes customer, based in Ireland, backed no less than four Premier League teams to come from behind and win on Saturday.

The bet started at lunchtime as Liverpool (15/2) went 1-0 down early on against Wolves, only to come storming back to win the game 3-1.

Elsewhere, the ambitious accumulator was looking strong thanks to Manchester City (8/1), who went a goal down away at West Ham before a second-half turnaround saw Pep Guardiola's men finish the game as 3-1 winners.

Aston Villa needed a Douglas Luiz penalty in the 98th minute to keep the bet alive as they beat Crystal Palace, but it looked destined to be a loser as the clock ticked down at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The customer had backed Spurs (7/1) to come from behind and beat Sheffield United, who went 1-0 up in the 73rd minute.

However, Richarlison's impact from the bench - a goal in the 98th minute and an assist in the 100th minute - meant that the punter was €64,260 better off by 5pm.
