Anthony Joshua is a big odds-on favourite to win his return fight with Jermaine Franklin on April 1.
Joshua failed to regain the heavyweight world titles from Oleksandr Usyk in the rematch last August, and has now won just two of his last five fights.
He now faces the challenge of rebuilding his career and the first opponent on his comeback has been named – Jermaine Franklin.
“I want to put on a show and impress my coach as he has high standards,” Joshua said. “Mentally and physically I feel ready.”
Franklin is also looking to bounce back after suffering the first defeat of his professional career last time out.
The 29-year-old American lost a majority decision to former world heavyweight title challenger Dillian Whyte in London last November.
Therefore it is no surprise to see the bookmakers making Joshua a big odds-on favourite for this one.
The former world heavyweight champion is 1/12 to win the fight with bet365, and 2/7 to get back to knocking out opponents.
Franklin is considered a 6/1 underdog and is 11/1 to follow in Andy Ruiz Jr’s footsteps by knocking out Joshua.
