Anthony Joshua Form

Anthony Joshua is a former two-time world heavyweight champion with a professional record of 28-3 (25 KOs).

Joshua became a world champion for the first time in April 2016 when he knocked out Charles Martin in the second round to win the IBF belt.

He then knocked out Dominic Breazeale in the seventh round and Eric Molina in the third round to successfully defend those titles, before adding to it in April 2017.

‘AJ’ took on Wladimir Klitschko in a huge fight at Wembley and stopped the legendary Ukrainian in the 11th round to leave with the IBF, WBA (Super) and IBO titles.

Following a 10th round knockout of Carlos Takam he added the WBO title with a points win over Joseph Parker, and then successfully defend all of those titles with a seventh-round KO of Alexander Povetkin.

However, his reign came to a stunning end in June 2019 when he was dropped multiple times before being stopped in the seventh round by Andy Ruiz Jr.

Joshua signed on for an immediate rematch and regained those titles via unanimous decision, and in his first defence he knocked out Kubrat Pulev in the ninth round.

His reign proved to be short though, as he lost back-to-back fights with Oleksander Usyk via decision.

The 34-year-old has got back on track since then though, reeling off four consecutive victories, starting with a points victory over Jermain Franklin in April of last year.

He fought twice more in 2023, stopping Robert Helenius in the seventh round and Otto Wallin in five rounds.

Joshua then made quick work of his first fight of 2024, knockout out former UFC heavyweight champion in the second round.

Daniel Dubois Form

Daniel Dubois is the current IBF interim heavyweight champion with a professional record of 21-2 (20 KOs).

Dubois won the first 15 fights of his professional career, winning English, European and Commonwealth titles along the way.

His first big fight came in November 2020 when he fought Joe Joyce for multiple titles, but he came up short as he was knocked out in the 10th round.

‘Dynamite’ rebounded with a second-round knockout of Bogdan Dinu, and backed that up with a first-round stoppage of Joe Cusumano.

Dubois then won the WBA (regular) heavyweight title by knocking out Trevor Bryan in the fourth round, before successfully defending it with a third-round knockout of Kevin Lerena.

That earned the 26-year-old a fight for the unified world heavyweight titles, but his dream was dashed by a ninth-round stoppage loss to Oleksandr Usyk.

He has not lost since though, rebounding with a 10th round knockout of Jarrell Miller and an eighth-round stoppage of Filip Hrgovic.

Verdict

Anthony Joshua has looked sharp and has showcased his brutal stopping power in recent outings.

That trend is likely to continue against Daniel Dubois, who is not a difficult man to hit and has been knocked out a couple of times in his career.
