Jack Catterall Form
Jack Catterall is a former world title challenger with a professional record of 30-1 (13 KOs).
Catterall made his debut in 2012 and quickly established himself in the super-lightweight division as he won the WBO inter-continental crown.
He successfully retained that belt multiple times before finally challenging for the unified super-lightweight crown in February 2022.
‘El Gato’ travelled into ‘enemy territory’ to face defending champion Josh Taylor, and despite seemingly dominating the contest he suffered a controversial split decision defeat to the Scotsman.
Catterall has responded emphatically though, reeling off four consecutive wins to stay firmly in the title picture.
He rebounded with a points win over Darragh Foley, and backed that up with a victory over multiple time world champion Jorge Linares.
The 31-year-old Englishman then avenged his only career defeat with a points win against Josh Taylor, before downing another former world champions, Regis Prograis, via decision last October.
Arnold Barboza Jr Form
Arnold Barboza Jr travels to the United Kingdom for the first time in his career looking to maintain his perfect record.
Barboza Jr has compiled a record of 31-0 (11 KOs), and has also spent a considerable amount of time holding the WBO inter-continental title.
He has fought exclusively on American soil during his career so far, and last year he stepped up the level of competition as he won three times to move right into world title contention.
The 33-year-old Californian began the year with an eighth round stoppage of Xolisani Ndongeni, before edging Sean McComb via split decision.
Barboza Jr then wrapped up the year with his biggest victory to date, downing former unified super-lightweight world champion Jose Ramirez via unanimous decision.

Arnold Barboza Jr will pose some challenges for Jack Catterall, but we expect him to pass this test.
Catterall’s awkward style can help him get ahead, and stay ahead, on the scorecards.
