Jake Paul is backed to beat the legendary Mike Tyson by decision.

Tyson may still pack a punch, but at 58 years old his speed and cardio are massive red flags.

We expect Paul to stay out of trouble early and take over the fight as ‘Iron Mike’ slows down.

Jake Paul takes a 10-1 (7 KOs) professional boxing record into this fight with the former ‘Baddest man on the planet’.

Paul made his professional debut in 2020 and after a couple of bouts against non-fighters, he faced a string of mixed martial artists.

He knocked out Ben Askren in 119 seconds in April 2021, and during the summer he then edged former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley by split decision.

The two men fought again that December, and this time Paul left no doubts with a sixth-round knockout.

‘The Problem Child’ then beat ex-UFC middleweight champion, and one of the greatest MMA fighters of all-time, Anderson Silva, by unanimous decision in his only outing of 2022.

Paul’s record finally received its first blemish in February 2023 when he finally shared the ring with rival Tommy Fury, as he was beaten by split decision.

The 27-year-old rebounded the following August as he beat long-time UFC contender Nate Diaz by decision, and he backed that up with first-round stoppages of Andre August and Ryan Bourland.

Paul’s most recent fight came in July, when he knocked out Bare Knuckle champion Mike Perry in the sixth round.

Mike Tyson is a former world heavyweight champion who compiled a career record of 50-6 (44 KOs) and 2 No Contests before retiring in 2005.

Tyson was the most feared man in all of boxing in the late 80s, but his first reign as world champion came to a stunning end with a 10th round knockout loss to Buster Douglas in 1990.

He rebounded to win his next four fights, but his career was shelved in 1992 when he was convicted or rape and sent to prison.

‘Iron Mike’ resumed his career in 1995 following his release and reeled off five consecutive wins, including a third-round knockout of Frank Bruno to become world champion again.

However, he lost that title in November 1996 when he was stopped by Evander Holyfield in the 11th round, an in the rematch he was famously disqualified for biting a chunk out of the ‘Real Deal’s ear.

Tyson continued his career despite that loss and was awarded a fight for the undisputed heavyweight crown in June 2002, losing to Lennox Lewis via eighth round knockout.

He bounced back in his next outing, stopping Clifford Etienne in the first in February 2003, but that would prove to be his final professional boxing win.

‘Iron Mike’ was knocked out in the fourth by Danny Williams in July 2004, and then retired on his stool after the sixth round of his fight with Kevin McBride.

The 58-year-old has taken part in a couple of exhibition fights since then, with his most recent being the split decision draw with Roy Jones Jr in November 2020.

There was a time where the thought of these two men sharing the ring would be laughable.

In his prime Mike Tyson would have destroyed Jake Paul, but it is fair to say that at 58 he is way, way over the hill.

The power might still be there, but heavier gloves will diminish that and Paul has the speed and awareness to stay out of trouble early, so we expect ‘The Problem Child’ to take this.
