Jake Paul has announced the cancellation of his scheduled fight with Tommy Fury on August 6.
The pair had been set to face off at Madison Square Garden in New York City next month.
However, the fight was thrown into jeopardy when Fury was denied entry into the United States for a recent press conference.
He was then set a Wednesday deadline to solve his ESTA issues, but failed to meet that demand.
“Fury’s received a termination notice,” Paul posted on social media.
“MVP [Most Valuable Promotions] did everything it could to help him and his team. He wasn't interested and he literally went into hiding.”
This is the second time that a fight between the two men has been shelved.
They were originally slated to face off last December, but Fury pulled out of that fight for medical reasons.
Paul instead took on former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley at short notice, knocking out the in six rounds, and he is again planning to fight on despite a late change in opponent.
“Second time in a row I’m going to step up and take on a new opponent at short notice,” Paul confirmed.
