Dereck Chisora is one of the most intriguing and unpredictable heavyweights of his era. Capable of mixing it with the very best, Del Boy gave a good account of himself against Vitaly Klitschko in 2012 and was involved in two classics with Dillian Whyte in 2016 and 2018.

When it came to smaller profile fights, however, Chisora often struggled, suggesting he only properly prepares for the bigger, more lucrative occasions. This fight with David Price certainly fits that bill.

Chisora also appears to have a new lease of life during these final few years of his career, perhaps aware he only has a few more fights left with which to line his pockets.

Curiously, for someone who possesses plenty of power, his knockout percentage is not great at 55 percent, although two recent KO wins over Takam and Artur Szpilka showed he can inflict damage against solid fighters.

Chisora certainly has the knockout power to trouble Price who has been stopped six times in his 31-fight career, while the Londoner has proved he can go the distance in tough fights. Chisora will likely size up Price, wary of the Liverpudlian's power, before striking once Price begins to fatige.

David Price History, Form and Fighting Style

Nationality: United Kingdom
Age: 36 (07/06/1983)
Professional Record: 25-6-0 (20 KOs)
Height: 6′ 8″ (203cm)
Reach: 82″ (208cm)
Stance: Orthodox

David Price enjoyed one of the most impressive wins of his career in July when he completely outboxed the in-form - and pre-fight favourite - David Allen before Allen was forced to retire in the 10th round, such was the beating he received.

Price has always carried devastating knockout power and when he lands clean, it often means lights out for his opponents. Given his size and frame, conditioning has always been his major problem, though, with top-level fighters allowing him to punch himself out and letting his guard drop before landing fight-ending shots.

Against Allen, Price did show he can dominate a fighter deep into the championship rounds, but Chisora is on another level to Allen and will present many more problems for Price.

Then there is the added challenge of the quick turnaround for Price, who was involved in a tough fight just three months ago. If conditioning has been a problem in the past, then how well he can get into shape in just a few weeks has to cast serious doubts over his endurance.
