Lawrence Okolie is the reigning WBO cruiserweight champion with a professional record of 19-0 (14 KOs).

Okolie won British and Commonwealth titles on his way to landing his first world title in March 2021.

He won the vacant WBO cruiserweight belt by knocking out former champion Krzysztof Glowacki in the sixth round.

The 30-year-old Londoner then knocked out Dilan Prasovic in the third round in his first defence, before beating Michael Cieslak via unanimous decision.

Okolie then made a third successful defence of the title in March of this year, beating David Light by unanimous decision.

Chris Billam-Smith Form

Chris Billam-Smith is a former European and Commonwealth cruiserweight champion with a 17-1 (12 KOs) professional record.

Billam-Smith tasted defeat in his 10th professional outing as he dropped a split decision to Richard Riakporhe.

He has rebounded since though, reeling eight consecutive wins to force his way into world title contention.

Three of those wins came last year as the 32-year-old Englishman successful retained the European and Commonwealth crowns.

Billam-Smith knocked out Tommy McCarthy in the eighth round, beat Isaac Chamberlain by unanimous decision, and they stopped Armend Xhoxhaj in the fifth round.

Verdict

Lawrence Okolie has impressed since stepping up to world level and is backed to make another successful defence here.

He is tough to hit and throws heavy hands, and that is likely to result in him winning by stoppage.
