Oleksandr Usyk is the reigning and defending WBA (Super), WBC, WBO, IBO and Ring Magazine heavyweight champion with a record of 22-0 (14 KOs).

Usyk made the move up to heavyweight after successfully conquering the cruiserweight division, become undisputed champion.

His final outing at cruiserweight came in November 2018 when he stopped former world champion Tony Bellew in the eighth round.

He made his heavyweight debut the following year and stopped Chazz Witherspoon in seven rounds in the United States.

Usyk then ventured to the United Kingdom to secure a shot at a world heavyweight title by beating former world title challenger Derek Chisora by decision.

The 37-year-old Ukrainian challenged Anthony Joshua for the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO and IBO titles, and he outclassed the British fighter for a unanimous decision win.

He proved that fight was no fluke too, as he then won the rematch in the summer of 2022 by split decision.

Usyk then knocked out Daniel Dubois in the ninth round to successfully retain his crown, setting up an undisputed title fight with Tyson Fury earlier this year.

He completed his mission to become undisputed champion in two different weight classes, beating Fury via split decision to walk away as the world heavyweight champion.

Tyson Fury is a former two-time world heavyweight champion with a professional record of 34-1-1 (24 KOs).

Fury won the world heavyweight title for the first time in November 2015 when he beat Wladimir Klitschko via unanimous deiciosn to claim the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO and IBO titles.

He failed to defend those belts as issues away from the ring kept him out of action for the next couple of years, but when he returned he quickly re-entered the title picture.

‘The Gypsy King’ ended his exile with a couple of warm-up fights in the summer of 2018, setting up a world title fight with Deontay Wilder that December.

That fight went to a controversial draw, and instead of signing on for an immediate rematch he spent 2019 beating Tom Schwarz via second round stoppage and Otto Wallin on points.

Fury finally met Wilder again in February 2020, and this time he left no doubt as he dominated and stopped ‘The Bronze Bomber’ in the seventh round.

He then knocked out Wilder in the 11th round of their trilogy fight in October 2021, before going on to stop Dillian Whyte in the sixth and Derek Chisora in the 10th in 2022.

‘The Gypsy King’ then fought once in 2023, and it proved to be an underwhelming outing from the WBC champion.

He was knocked down by former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, who was making his boxing debut, but survived to escape with a split decision win.

The judges did not spare Fury in his first fight of 2024 however, as he went the full 12 rounds to drop a split decision to Oleksandr Usyk in their bout for the undisputed heavyweight crown.

He is a cold and calculated assassin who knows the way to beat Fury – he has done it once before and we expect a similar outcome in the rematch.
