WowPot Jackpot Win: Microgaming Slots Player scoops £15 million
The WowPot jackpot has been won for an incredible £15 million. Here's how a UK 32Red scooped the record breaking jackpot.
Microgaming has revealed that a 32red player has won the biggest prize to date on their WowPot jackpot network totalling €17,529,047.11 (£15,183,085.96). It's the 3rd biggest payout from a Microgaming slot - beaten by two previous Mega Moolah wins in 2015 and 2018.
The prize was triggered on the 14th April from the popular Book of Atem slot. The un-named 32Red player only spun for £0.80 to win the prize - it has been confirmed they will receive their winnings in a single lump sum.
John Coleman CEO of Microgaming said:
What a phenomenal win – our third largest ever and the first Mega to drop on WowPot! Congratulations to the winning player, and of course to 32Red and Kindred Group, who have been such brilliant partners of Microgaming over the years. I’d also like to thank All41 Studios for developing Book of Atem: WowPot, and Alchemy Gaming for playing a key role in building our WowPot jackpot. Here’s to many more wins together.
Neil Banbury - the UK General Manager for Kindred Group added:
We’re overjoyed for our player, first and foremost. Congrats on this incredible win! Well done to Microgaming, too, for delivering the industry’s leading range of progressive jackpot games. WowPot comes with a cracking set of games and is now on par with Mega Moolah as one of the big hitters.
Microgaming's WowPot network was launched in 2020 alongside the Wheel of Wishes slot. It is a progressive jackpot that starts at a seed of €2 million. A small portion of each bet made on network games will be added to the jackpot prize pool.
Book of Atem was launched in the same year - both games are exclusively developed by All41 Studios for the Microgaming network. Since launch, the network has paid out over €23 million from all jackpot tiers.
Before the record-breaking win - the Major jackpot was hit for over €1,123,513.15 and €998,876.35 respectively in March 2021.
WowPot is one of two well-known Microgaming jackpots - the software developer also manages the Mega Moolah progressive network. Mega Moolah currently holds the world record for the biggest online slot win.
In October 2015, a British soldier won €17,879,645 on the Mega Moolah slot. While another win did eclipse this in 2018 for €18,915,872.81, it has not been entered in the Guinness World Records.
