Strong support in latest Cheltenham Albert Bartlett odds

Ladbrokes on Thursday reported a "strong gamble" for Janidil to win next week's Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle at the 2020 Cheltenham Festival.

The six-year-old, trained by Willie Mullins, was available at 33/1 earlier this week but at time of writing can be backed at 14/1.

Ladbrokes spokesperson Nicola McGeady told FreeTips.com: "Janidil has multiple festival entries but today’s strong gamble is a real indicator that he is bound for the Albert Bartlett."

Meanwhile, the same firm are now expecting the official going on Day One of the Cheltenham Festival to be Soft, slashing the odds to just 1/2 on Thursday from Evens.

Good To Soft had been as short as even money but on Thursday afternoon drifted out to 2/1, while a less positive weather forecast compared to the start of the week has seen Heavy ground back into 5/1 from 8/1.
