The fourth and final Grade One race on Champions' Day at Cheltenham is the Mares' Hurdle. Having dominated the early runnings of this contest, Willie Mullins has gone five years without winning the Mares' Hurdle, but Ireland's Champion Trainer is long odds-on to end that drought in 2024.

Here's the latest Mares' Hurdle betting and a look at the most likely runners.

2024 Mares' Hurdle Entries

Lossiemouth ran out an impressive winner of the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham last year. Mullins' mare bolted up on her only start of the season so far in the Unibet Hurdle at Cheltenham, after which Lossiemouth was cut into odds-on favouritism for the Mares' Hurdle.

A Grade One winner at Fairyhouse last season, Ashroe Diamond sits second in the betting following her Grade Two win at Doncaster. Gala Marceau will also represent Willie Mullins, having placed behind her stablemates in recent starts. Zenta, Echoes In Rain and Brandy Love also sit within the top ten names in the Mares' Hurdle betting.

Magical Zoe sits behind Willie Mullins' top four contenders in the betting, despite her unproven stamina over this distance. Former winner, Marie's Rock could again represent Nicky Henderson on day one of the Cheltenham Festival, along with stablemates Under Control and Theatre Glory.

Gordon Elliott has handed a speculative entry to leading novice Brighterdaysahead. Last year's runner-up, Love Envoi has been entered again by Harry Fry. Other possible runners include Mares' Novices' Hurdle winner You Wear It Well, Gordon Elliott's Party Central, Telmesomethinggirl for Henry De Bromhead, and Dan Skelton's duo of Nurse Susan and West Balboa.
