2023 National Hunt Chase Entries
Topping the betting is Mullins' star Gaillard Du Mesnil, who could drop back down into Grade Two company despite that victory in the Neville Hotels at Leopardstown over Christmas. Mullins could also throw Ramillies into this race, after an excellent run at Navan back in January.
Gordon Elliott will be represented by Chemical Energy, who won at Cheltenham earlier in the season. John McConnell's Mahler Mission was well-beaten that day, but he's since earned his spot in the field with an powerful triumph back on home soil.
Jonathan Sweeney has entered up Churchstonewarrior, with Stuart Crawford looking likely to run unbeaten chaser Gold Cup Bailly. Amirite and Walking On Glass could also represent Irish connections on day one of the Cheltenham Festival.
Nicky Henderson's City Chief and Dan Skelton's Hidden Heroics feature prominently in the market. Skelton's Cheltenham winner could be joined in the field by fellow British runners Tea For Free, Mister Coffey, and Blackjack Magic. Jon Snow could also represent George Baker, having recently made the move from Willie Mullins' yard.
