2024 Supreme Novices' Hurdle Entries

Following an easy victory in the two-mile Grade One at the Dublin Racing Festival, Ballyburn jumped to the head of the Supreme betting. Willie Mullins' star also tops the market for the longer Baring Bingham Novices' Hurdle, but the exchanges suggest that Ballyburn will be heading for the opening race of the meeting.

Mystical Power sits just behind his stablemate in the market, having won the Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle on his most recent start. Nicky Henderson's Jeriko Du Reponet, Eddy O'Grady's No Flies On Him and another Willie Mullins runner, Mirazur West could also carry the colours of JP McManus into this year's Supreme.

Gordon Elliott will be represented by Firefox, who beat Ballyburn at Fairyhouse when the two met on their hurdling debuts. Caldwell Potter landed the Grade One at Leopardstown over Christmas for Gordon Elliott, and could have his first start for Paul Nicholls on day one of the Cheltenham Festival.

Elliott could also run Farren Glory and King Of Kingsfield. Ile Atlantique, Billericay Dickie, Blizzard Of Oz, Lisnagar Fortune and Tullyhill have been entered by Willie Mullins. Henry De Bromhead, meanwhile, could be represented by Slade Steel.

Other eye-catching Supreme entants include Tellherthename for Ben Pauling, Joseph O'Brien's Boldog, Lookaway for Neil King and Alan King's Grade One runner-up, Favour And Fortune.
