2023 Champion Chase Entries

Willie Mullins' wait for a first Queen Mother victory ended 12 months ago, as Energumene hacked up the Cheltenham hill to claim an impressive victory. Mullins' nine-year-old returned to action with an easy win in the Hilly Way Chase, but was last seen finishing third as Editeur Du Gite held off Edwardstone to win the Clarence House.

Gary Moore's winner was slashed into 6/1 having earned his place in the Champion Chase field. Edwardstone, who won the Arkle last season and the Tingle Creek on his reappearance, was also cut for Cheltenham following his run in the Clarence House.

Willie Mullins accounts for four of the remaining 11 Champion Chase entries. Energumene could be joined in the field by multiple Grade One hero Chacun Pour Soi, as well as Gentleman De Mee and Blue Lord, who finished first and second in the recent Dublin Chase.

Three-time Grade One winner, Greaneteen could represent Paul Nicholls. Former Queen Mother runner-up, Nube Negra will run at the Cheltenham Festival if the ground comes up favourably good. Other possible runners include Henry De Bromhead's duo of Captain Guinness and Coeur Sublime and last year's surprise Champion Chase runner-up, Funambule Sivola
