The most unique race at the Cheltenham Festival is the Cross Country Chase, which is run on the weird and wonderful cross country course. Gordon Elliott has used this 3m5f contest as a prep race for his Grand National contenders in recent seasons, and his runners feature prominently in the market.

Here's the latest Cross Country Chase betting and a look at the most likely runners.

Delta Work silenced the Cheltenham crowd when defeating Tiger Roll in this contest two years ago. Gordon Elliott's star successfully retained his title 12 months ago and Delta Work is the favourite to complete a Cross Country hat-trick this season.

Last year's runner-up, Galvin will join his stablemate in the field once again. Elliott has also mentioned the Cross Country as a potential target for Conflated, but recent quotes suggest that he'll be taking up his entry in the Ryanair Chase instead.

Former Gold Cup winner, Minella Indo shot up the Cross Country betting after a strong performance on his debut over this course at Cheltenham in December. Latenightpass and Foxy Jacks have won Cross Country handicaps at Cheltenham this season and both sit fairly prominently in the market.

Willie Mullins' Franco de Port could have another outing on day two of the Cheltenham Festival, having finished a distant third 12 months ago. Other possible runners include Grand National entrant Roi Mage, French raider Hip Hop Conti, Martin Keighley's Back On The Lash, and Enda Bolger's duo of Birchdale and Stealthy Tom.
