Melbourne Renegades have a seriously impressive record against the Brisbane Heat. Despite losing last week's hero Mohammad Nabi, the Gades are value to win this one.

  • Renegades' Mohammad Nabi scored 71 not out from 41 balls to win the game.
  • Melbourne Renegades have won 9 of their last 10 matches against the Brisbane Heat.

Head to Head

Brisbane Heat have a poor record against the Melbourne Renegades, winning just three of the 13 heads to heads. The Renegades have won nine of the last 10 matches.

In BBL09, the Renegades won by 44 runs at the Gabba and seven wickets at Marvel Stadium.

Brisbane Heat Form

Brisbane Heat were denied a fourth straight win in the Big Bash League when losing by three wickets to the Sydney Sixers in their latest game.

Having kicked their season into life by beating the Sixers, Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Stars, they went down in a tight rematch against the Sixers on Sunday.

A half-century from captain Chris Lynn, who fired 56 from 44 balls, helped the Heat to 148 all out at Metricon Stadium.

The Heat did a good job of defending the sub-par total, losing a final ball thriller.

With the scores tied, Dan Christian's four from the final ball of Xavier Bartlett's over got the Sixers home at 152/7. Christian finished with 61 not out from 38 balls.

Brisbane Heat Injuries & Team News

The Heat lose Afghanistan international spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman one game early after his travel plans were switched by the national team.

Morne Morkel is set to make his first appearance of BBL10, playing as a domestic player. Joe Denly is also expected to line-up after being cleared of a fractured finger.

Melbourne Renegades Form

Melbourne Renegades ended a seven-game losing run with a six-wicket win over Adelaide Strikers at the Adelaide Oval last Friday.

Mohammad Nabi was the hero, smacking 71 not out from 41 balls to win the game for the Renegades. It was a first win since victory in their opening match of BBL10.

The Renegades were set 178 to win after the Strikers posted 177/7 with Phil Salt (59) and Alex Carey (42) doing most of the damage. Peter Hatzoglou took 3/49 for the Gades.

Nabi's unbeaten knock was key to ending the Renegades' losing run and he received support from youngster Jake Fraser-McGurk (29 not out) to get his side home.

Melbourne Renegades Injuries Team News

Mohammad Nabi has departed the tournament to link up with Afghanistan for their limited-overs series against Ireland, and the all-rounder will be a big loss.

But the Renegades have Shaun Marsh back at the top of the order with Mackenzie Harvey likely to move into the middle order.

Josh Lalor was left out of the last game in favour of Peter Hatzoglou, who impressed. He should retain his place.
