This is a tough one to predict. The Renegades have beaten the Heat twice this season but it is the Heat who carry the better form into this knockout clash. Since the internationals returned the Heat have been the form team of the tournament.

I am sticking with the visitors to take the win in this one with Usman Khawaja to continue where he left off in the last match.

Brisbane Heat just made it into the playoffs in fifth place. They are however one of the form teams of the tournament having won four of their last five matches.

In the eliminator, the Heat saw off the Sydney Thunder on the Duckworth/Lewis method. Batting first, the Heat scored a very good 203 runs. Usman Khawaja smashed 94 while Marnus Labuschagne added 73 runs.

The Thunder got off to a strong start until rain arrived with them at 52-1 after 6.5 overs. They were however eight runs shy of the Duckworth/Lewis target so when they couldn’t get back out, the Heat were handed victory.

The addition of Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne since the Aussie test series ended has been the turning point for the Heat. They came from nowhere with a late run to qualify for the playoffs so the team should remain unchanged.
