Melbourne Stars backed to win Big Bash
- The tenth Big Bash gets underway on Thursday
- Melbourne Stars are favourites ahead of Perth Scorchers & Adelaide Strikers
- England's Dawid Malan is 20-1 to be top tournament run scorer
The tenth Big Bash gets underway on Thursday, with the Melbourne Stars the 7-2 favourites with bookmaker Coral to finally end their duck and win a first title.
The Stars, who have lost the last two finals, are the favourites ahead of the Perth Scorchers (4-1), the Adelaide Strikers and holders Sydney Sixers (both 6-1).
"BBL 10 is here and the line-up is one of the strongest yet. The Melbourne Stars have been the bridesmaids so many times but punters are backing them to get their hands on the trophy at long last," said Coral's Harry Aitkenhead.
"The English influence will be strong, with the Perth Scorchers second favourites and looking to Jason Roy and Liam Livingstone to fire them up the ladder, whilst the World Number One batsman Dawid Malan is 20-1 to score more runs than any other player," added Aitkenhead.
