Head to Head

There has been nothing to split these two sides in BBL with six wins each. The Thunder have, however, won five of the last six clashes including a seven-wicket win at Manuka Oval last month.

The Scorchers scored 152/5 thanks to an unbeaten 52 from Mitch Marsh. But the Thunder got home comfortably with three balls to spare on the back of 61 not out from captain Callum Ferguson.

Perth Scorchers Form

Having lost their first three games, the Perth Scorchers have found their mojo with three straight wins over the Adelaide Strikers, Melbourne Renegades and Sydney Sixers.

They thrashed the Renegades by 96 runs on their return to Perth with Josh Inglis top scoring with 72 runs and Colin Munro firing 52 runs. The Scorchers then dismissed the Gades for 89.

The Sixers were sent packing for 87 on Wednesday in what what another comprehensive bowling performance from Perth. Half-centuries from Colin Munro (50) and Mitch Marsh (58 not out) set up the victory as the Scorchers finished on 183/4.

Andrew Tye (4/20) and Jhye Richardson (3/15) led with the ball and the pair are looking in menacing form having returned to form back at home in Perth.

Perth Scorchers Injuries and Team News

Expect the Scorchers to go in unchanged. That means more time on the sidelines for Cameron Bancroft and Matt Kelly.

Sydney Thunder Form

The Sydney Thunder returned to the top of the standings after beating Hobart Hurricanes in Perth on Thursday. It was a sixth win from eight games for Callum Ferguson's side.

Having lost their previous game to the Brisbane Heat, the Thunder bounced back in style with a 39-run victory.

Usman Khawaja got the ball rolling with 49 at the top of the order, while the returning Alex Ross struck 44 in a total of 167/5.

Teenage spinner Tanveer Sangha took 2/29 to move to the top of the BBL wicket takers, while Nathan McAndrew (2/25) and Chris Green (2/23) also helped keep the Hurricanes to 128/8.

Sydney Thunder Injuries Team News

Daniel Sams missed Thursday's game through concussion and is a doubt again. Oliver Davies was dropped in favour of Alex Ross, with Chris Tremain left out for Arjun Nair.

Captain Callum Ferguson has a tough decision to make at the selection table after an impressive win.
