Batting first the Sixers made 151 runs in 20 overs. Moises Henriques top scored with 58 runs, but the total was below par from the start.

The Scorchers made light work of the chase, winning by seven wickets with nine balls to spare.

Brisbane Heat Form

The Brisbane Heat are arguably the form team of the tournament at the moment. They finished fifth on the table but came from nowhere to win four of their last five league matches.

Since then, the Heat have beaten the Sydney Thunder in the eliminator and then saw off the Melbourne Renegades in the knockout match. The Renegades batted first and scored 162 runs in their allotted 20 overs.

It was a pressure chase but the Heat handled it superbly. Their top four batsmen all scored 23+ runs as Usman Khawaja top scored again with 59 runs. They won the match by seven wickets with seven balls to spare.
