Canada and Netherlands will face each other in a crucial World Cricket League 2 match on Tuesday in Windhoek. Both teams are coming into this game on the back of a win in their previous match, against hosts Namibia.

While the first match against Netherlands was rained out, Canada have come back in sprightly fashion to move to second on the points table. Navneet Dhaliwal managed a disciplined 54 off 84 balls while Harsh Thaker put in a fine all-round performance with 26 off 39 and 2 for 39.

With the ball, Canada got at least one wicket from all of their bowlers. Dilon Heyliger claimed figures of 3 for 45 while Parveen Kumar was the pick, with 2 for 15 from his eight overs.

Netherlands got a fine start from Vikramjit Singh and Max O’Dowd in their previous match, with an 84-run opening stand. Their batting innings went badly awry after that as they were restricted to 127 for 9.

It was their bowling that got them out of that mess as spinners Aryan Dutt and Zach Lion-Cachet both took three-wicket hauls to bowl Namibia out for 106.
