2019 Cricket World Cup Fixtures


The 2019 Cricket World Cup is divided into a round robin stage and a knockout stage. The 10 teams involved will each play each other once before the four teams with the highest points tally progress to the semifinals.

There will be 45 group stage matches and three knockout fixtures in total spread out from 30 May-14 July and across 11 venues. The 2019 Cricket World Cup will begin and end in London with the first match at the Oval and the last at Lord’s.

Afghanistan 2019 Cricket World Cup Fixtures


Minnows Afghanistan will begin their campaign against world champions Australia on 1 June. They will then face Sri Lanka before tricky fixtures against New Zealand, South Africa, England and India.

A winnable fixture against Bangladesh follows before Afghanistan round off their group stage schedule with fixtures against Pakistan and the West Indies.

Australia 2019 Cricket World Cup Fixtures


Justin Langer’s Australia start off with what should be relatively straightforward matches against Afghanistan and the West Indies. Next on the cards is a humdinger against India before fixtures against Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Australia finish their group stage schedule with tough fixtures against hosts England, 2015 finalists New Zealand and a South Africa side which has caused them plenty of problems in recent times.

Bangladesh 2019 Cricket World Cup Fixtures


Bangladesh face a tough start to the 2019 Cricket World Cup with matches against South Africa, New Zealand and England. The following fixtures against Sri Lanka and the West Indies are however more winnable on paper.

Bangladesh then face the daunting challenge of playing Australia but a match against Afghanistan follows before another tricky one against India. Bangladesh’s final group stage match is against Pakistan.

England 2019 Cricket World Cup Fixtures


Hosts England get the 2019 Cricket World Cup underway on 30 May with a mouthwatering clash against South Africa. Matches against Pakistan, Bangladesh, the West Indies, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka follow.

England’s group stage schedule rounds off with three difficult matches in a row as Trevor Bayliss’ men face Australia, India and New Zealand.

India 2019 Cricket World Cup Fixtures


India have to wait until 5 June before they get their 2019 Cricket World Cup campaign underway with an eagerly anticipated match against South Africa. Next are tough fixtures against Australia and New Zealand before a humdinger against rivals Pakistan.

Although there are some potential stumbling blocks in India’s run-in, it is generally a favourable one on paper. Ravi Shastri’s men face Afghanistan and the West Indies before a tricky encounter with England is followed by matches against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

New Zealand 2019 Cricket World Cup Fixtures


New Zealand start off their 2019 Cricket World Cup with three winnable fixtures against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Life will not get any easier from there for the Black Caps as they then play India and South Africa.

Gary Stead’s team finish off their round robin schedule with matches against the West Indies, Pakistan, Australia and England.

Pakistan 2019 Cricket World Cup Fixtures


Pakistan begin their quest for 2019 Cricket World Cup glory with a match against the West Indies on 31 May. Mickey Arthur’s men then face England, Sri Lanka and Australia before playing bitter rivals India.

Matches against South Africa and New Zealand follow for Pakistan before they finish up the group stage with favourable fixtures against Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

South Africa begin at the Oval against hosts England on 30 May before playing Bangladesh, India, the West Indies and Afghanistan. 

Ottis Gibson’s men then face New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Australia as they look to shake off the “chokers” tag and win their first World Cup.

Sri Lanka 2019 Cricket World Cup Fixtures


Sri Lanka begin their 2019 Cricket World Cup campaign with fixtures against New Zealand, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

The Lions may be confident about picking up several wins in their opening four fixtures but the next five are likely to be more difficult. Sri Lanka play Australia, England and South Africa before facing the West Indies and India.
