India vs Pakistan is the biggest game of the 2023 Cricket World Cup so far as the rivals clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, October 14.

India Team News
India are sweating over the availability of Shubman Gill, who is recovering from dengue. He had a long nets session at the venue but is unlikely to be risked.
Pakistan Team News
Pakistan may be worried about Imam-ul-Haq’s form but he may earn another game. If they want to surprise the hosts, they may opt for an extra seamer in Mohammad Wasim Jr. in which case they may go for Agha Salman to boost their back-up spin options.

India played Pakistan in 134 ODIs so far winning only 56 while losing 73. Five matches have ended without a result. The most recent match was in Colombo in the Asia Cup in September when India won by 228 runs over two days.
The hosts though, have an edge in the World Cup encounters winning all seven ODIs against Pakistan so far.
India Form
India are 3rd in the points table after two rounds of matches with two wins and a positive NRR of 1.50. They started the tournament with a six-wicket win over Australia and followed it up with an eight-wicket win over Afghanistan.
For the hosts, Virat Kohli has been consistent with back-to-back fifties and an aggregate of 140 runs. The worry though, is the form of Shreyas Iyer although he remained not out on 25 in the last match.
Jasprit Bumrah has been India’s best bowler in the series with six wickets while Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav manned the spin department with three wickets each.
Pakistan Form
Pakistan are 4th in the points table after two rounds of matches with two wins and a positive NRR of 0.927. They defeated the Netherlands by 81 runs and then stunned Sri Lanka in a massive chase by six wickets.
The tenacious ‘keeper bat Mohammad Rizwan is Pakistan’s best batter this tournament with a 100 and a 50 so far. Abdullah Shafique has announced his stay with a century in his first match but captain Babar Azam is due a big knock.
With the ball, veteran pacer Hasan Ali is leading the charts with six wickets while Haris Rauf has five. Yet, the form of spinners and Shaheen Afridi is a concern.
