The Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians meet in the Indian Premier League on Friday at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Mumbai will be eager to regain top spot against a Super Kings side who have experienced a rather miserable 2020 campaign to date.

Chennai Super Kings Form

The Chennai Super Kings have really struggled in 2020, winning just three of their 10 matches to date. They have also lost their last two fixtures and four of their last five. Not ideal reading for a side that was tipped as one of the favourites ahead of the competition.

In their last fixture, the Super Kings were given a hiding by the Rajasthan Royals in Abu Dhabi on Monday. Chennai could only manage a score of 125/5 in their 20 overs, which the Royals reached with seven wickets and 15 balls to spare.

Sam Curran bounced back from a duck with 22 runs against the Rajasthan Royals, but he will not be happy with his tournament as a whole with the bat. One issue for Curran is that he has been moved around the batting order all campaign.
