In a must-win match, Delhi started well against Mumbai Indians but they conceded close to 50 in their last two overs on a slow pitch.

Delhi crumbled in the chase and were eventually comfortably beaten, which led to their elimination from IPL 2025.

Punjab Kings are currently third on the points table with 17 points from 12 games, with eight wins and three losses. They have won their last three games, which has ensured they will make the final four but they still need to confirm a spot in the top two.

In their previous game, Punjab beat Rajasthan by 10 runs in a close contest. Nehal Wadhera scored 70 off just 37 balls while Shashank Singh scored 59 off just 30 to carry Punjab to 219 for 5.

With the ball, Harpreet Brar was excellent, with figures of 3 for 22. Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal both went wicketless, which was quite surprising for their quality.
