Rajasthan Royals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Preview

Rajasthan were beaten by Gujarat Titans in their previous game after they conceded a mammoth 217 for 6. After such a big total against a strong bowling attack, there was not much Rajasthan could do as they were bowled out for 159.

Shimron Hetmyer was the pick of the batters as he finished with 52 off 32 balls with four fours and three sixes. Captain Sanju Samson managed 41 off 28 balls but there was not much else from the rest of the batters.

RCB were undone at home again as they were asked to bat at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

They could only manage 163 for 7, which was majorly due to the late impetus from Tim David who scored 37 off 20 balls.

RCB were in the game for the majority of the chase until the last few overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar finished with 2 for 26 in his four overs but Josh Hazlewood had a bad day, conceding 40 from his three overs with no wickets.

Verdict

Rajasthan Royals v Royal Challengers Bengaluru - T20

RCB are slight favourites because of the depth of their bowling as opposed to Rajasthan. Conditions are foreign for both teams because this will be the first match this season at Jaipur. RCB have an explosive batting unit, and that should come to the fore even if conditions are a bit slower.
