After rain washed out the first match, it looked like it would be two in two to inclement weather but there was just enough time to play a 15-overs-a-side contest in the second match. There were plenty of runs on offer after the rain though.

Put in to bat, Canada made an exceptional start with Yuvraj Samra scoring 37 off 18 from No. 3, which set the tone for the rest of the batters. Nicholas Kirton scored 16 off 10 and Kanwarpal Tathgur managed 26 off just 14 balls.

In response, Nikolaas Davin scored 32 off 19 balls while Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton managed 36 off 21 balls to set the stage for JJ Smit to finish off the innings with 33 off 17 balls with two fours and two sixes as Namibia chased down 11 off the final over to win the second T20I.

Namibia Form

Smit and Ruben Trumpelmann continued their fine run of form, with seven wickets between them. Trumpelmann picked up 4 for 28 while Smith managed 3 for 18 off his three overs. Gerhard Erasmus also picked up a wicket.

With the bat, there were plenty of contributions, including from Zane Green, who hit two sixes to finish with an unbeaten 21 off just 8 balls. Smit, Davin and Loftie-Eaton scored 30-plus scores.

Namibia Team News

Namibia won’t make too many changes to their team but they may consider a change for Malan Kruger, who has been out of form.

Canada Form

Canada played rather well with the bat to put on a score that was close to 10 runs per over. There were contributions all the way, including Samra, Kirton, Shreyas Movva (18 off 20 balls) and Saad Bin Zafar, who scored a quickfire 18 off 8 balls.

Canada Team News

Aaron Johnson was not in good form, scoring 5 off 6 and conceding 20 off his one over. Canada may consider a switch for him.
