Namibia will begin their next phase of the ICC World Cricket League 2 at home, in Windhoek. This will start with a tough match against one of the better teams in the tournament in Netherlands, who are coming into this game on the back of a rained out match against Canada on Wednesday.

With six wins and 10 losses in their 16 matches, Namibia have a lot of work in front of them to make a bid for the top half of the table.

Netherlands Form

Netherlands haven’t played that much cricket recently. To worsen their situation, rain ruined their previous match against Canada. However, they have players that have played all around the world, in difficult conditions.

Colin Ackermann, Max O’Dowd, Scott Edwards, Timm van der Gugten and Paul van Meekeren all have lots of experience after having participated in previous ICC tournaments as well. It is a mixture of this experience along with helpful conditions that will make Netherlands favourites for this one.

While there was no cricket, the previous match against Canada had a toss. Netherlands brought in some fresh faces for that match, including Zach Lion-Cachet and Kyle Klein.

The rest of the line-up was expected with spin coming from Aryan Dutt and Ackermann. Bas de Leede was also picked to slot in to the vital No. 6 slot as allrounder. Vikramjit Singh and O’Dowd should open for Netherlands.
