The last ODI series India played ended in a 2-1 win in Sri Lanka, but they did lose the 3rd ODI. India sent a weakened squad over for the series.

In a rain delayed game that turned into a 47 over match, Prithvi Shaw top scored with 49 runs as India posted 225. Sri Lanka chased it down with ease with eight overs to spare to win by three wickets.

India Injuries & Team News

Rohit Sharma remains injured so KL Rahul will take over the captaincy reins. Over the course of the series India will be using some untested players at international level, but Venkatesh Iyer and Ishan Kishan have both proven themselves capable at T20 level.
