The Kings were unfortunate after rain interrupted their batting innings against the Knights. Eventually they scored 118 off 15 overs with Todd Astle top scoring with 36 runs.
The D/L method was used to set the Northern Knights a total of 92 runs in 11 overs. The Kings bowlers could not contain a dominant Knights batting outfit which contained New Zealand captain, Kane Williamson.
In the end the Knights won by eight wickets in the final over. More runs will be required by the Canterbury Kings top order as we head towards the playoffs.
