England put in yet another clinical masterclass to chase down 197 with consummate ease against West Indies in the second T20I, led by a complete batting performance. On the shorter boundaries of Bristol, England were led by Jos Buttler’s 47 and Harry Brook’s 34 off 20 balls. 

However, the cameos did all the damage, including Ben Duckett (30 off 18 balls), Tom Banton (30 off 11 balls) and Jacob Bethell (26 off 10 balls).

England’s form has been terrific with the bat but there are some concerns around their death bowling after they were plundered in the previous match in the last five overs. 

Luke Wood was the standout bowler with 2 for 25 but Adil Rashid was taken for 59 from his four overs.

West Indies Form

West Indies have challenged England on a few occasions but haven’t been able to get over the line at all on this tour. There are promising signs though including Johnson Charles’ form after his 47 off 39 and Shai Hope’s 49. 

Rovman Powell scored 34 off 15 and Jason Holder managed 29 off 9 balls, with two fours and three sixes, in the last match.

Andre Russell missed the previous match due to injury but could be fit to return.
