India lost the last game of the series which means if England win again, we go to the decider on the weekend. However, India have a strong side and will fancy their chances of avoiding back-to-back losses.

The current five-match series sees India lead 2-1 heading into the fourth game. With two to play, the series is still open to both sides.

India won the first two matches of the series against England but lost the third to keep the visitors in it.

Bowling first on a pitch that offered the spinners some assistance, India allowed England to score 171 runs in 20 overs, a score that was above par for the type of wicket. Varun Chakravarthy produced a stunning bowling display, taking 5-24 in four overs.

In response, India could only muster 145 runs in 20 overs. Hardik Pandya scored 40 runs but only one other reached more than 20.

India are likely to keep faith with the side despite losing the last game. They will, however, rotate among the bowlers.

England Form

England kept themselves alive in the series with a win in the third T20I match. Ben Duckett batted superbly at the top of the order, scoring 51 runs off 28 balls. Liam Livingstone contributed further runs in a 171-run total.

After losing the first two matches, that victory will give England a massive boost of confidence. The bowlers all bowled well, too, particularly Jamie Overton who took 3-23 in four overs.
