Ireland vs South Africa Predictions
Quinton de Kock has been in superb form recently. He has scored 50+ in his last three T20I matches and scored 120 runs in the last ODI against Ireland. Our best bet is for De Kock to score over 25.5 runs in the 1st T20I.

- South Africa’s Quinton de Kock scored 120 runs in the 3rd ODI against Ireland.

Head to Head
Ireland and South Africa have never met in a T20I fixture before.
Ireland will be buoyed coming into this series after drawing the ODI series 1-1 against South Africa. The Irish have lost their last three T20I matches but have not played this format since March 2020.
Andy Balbirnie will be looking to carry his ODI form over into the T20 format after scoring fifty and a century in the three-match ODI series. He has a T20 average of 25.54 with a highest score of 83 runs but his current form should give him confidence.
With the T20 World Cup in October this year this is a perfect opportunity for Ireland to test themselves against a side that will be challenging for the title.
Ireland Injuries & Team News
Ireland need to get their combinations right in this series. Paul Stirling is a key figure at the top of the order while they may look to shift Andy Balbirnie up to partner him.
South Africa Form
South Africa’s T20I form has been a bit hit and miss over the last couple of years. Since January 2020 Mark Boucher’s men have played 21 T20I matches of which they have lost 13.
The Proteas did however win their last series 3-2 against the West Indies. That should give them some momentum. Quinton de Kock has been in sublime form in both limited over formats and scored 120 runs in the 3rd ODI against Ireland.
De Kock scored 72, 60 and 60 runs in his last three T20I matches against the West Indies. That form will need to continue if South Africa are to challenge for the World T20 title later this year.
South Africa Injuries & Team News
South Africa will be at full strength after resting some players during the ODI series. T20 cricket is taking priority this year with the World Cup in October.
