After a period of uncertainty and rescheduling, Pakistan and Bangladesh will finally kick off their series on Wednesday with the first of three T20Is, in Lahore.

Bangladesh are coming off a shock 2-1 series defeat to UAE in Sharjah in the lead-up to this series while most of Pakistan’s players are coming off the PSL.

Pakistan’s T20I squad will continue to have a different look to it, with the absence of Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi. Instead, Salman Agha will lead the side like he did in the series against New Zealand earlier this year.

Pakistan have brought in several fresh faces into the squad, including Sahibzada Farhan, who had an excellent PSL for Islamabad United. Saim Ayub also has his place back in the squad.

Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Wasim form a potent fast bowling attack while Abrar Ahmed will be the solitary spinner.

Bangladesh Form

Bangladesh will be hurting after losing the T20I series to UAE. While several of their players found some form with the bat, the bowling was appalling considering the growth and progress that Bangladesh have made.

"We were not up to the mark in the last series," Litton Das said. "This is a new series, a new challenge. We know where we did well and where we did badly in the past. We will have to apply that in the game.”
