Pakistan began their series against Bangladesh in expected fashion: putting together a sublime performance to cruise past a hapless Bangladesh team. 

Pakistan posted 201 for 7, led by captain Salman Agha’s quickfire 56 off 34 that counter-punched after a couple of early wickets. Hasan Ali then took 5 for 30 to ensure Bangladesh were consigned to a comfortable defeat.

Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub were dismissed for 1 and 0 respectively but Pakistan’s middle order came alive. Hasan Nawaz hit 44 off 22, Shadab Khan smashed 48 off 25, Mohammad Haris managed 31 off 18 and Agha’s fifty tied up the innings. 

The bowling was put under pressure too but Pakistan came out comfortably on top, led by Hasan Ali’s five-for. Shadab took two wickets while Agha chipped in with a wicket.

Pakistan have no reason to change their winning combination. 

Bangladesh Form

Every Bangladesh bowler picked up at least one wicket each but they were also taken for plenty of runs after a strong start. Shoriful Islam led the bowling with two wickets but conceded 32 runs in 3 overs. 

Litton Das was the bright spark for Bangladesh with 48 off 30 while Jaker Ali produced 36 off 20 balls. Apart from Tanzid Hasan’s 31 off 17 at the top, there was not much else from the batters.
