This should be a reasonably good contest between these sides. The pitch may play quite a big role in the outcome, but I fancy Scotland to come up with the win.

Scotland’s Michael Jones scored 45* off 30 balls in their opener against England.
Scotland’s Richie Berrington scored 47* off 35 balls in the win over Namibia.
Oman’s Ayaan Khan scored Ayaan Khan 36 off 30 balls against Australia.

After a super opening match against Namibia which they lost on the Super Over, Oman lost to Australia, but not before giving a superb account of themselves.

Oman bowled superbly to have Australia struggling at 50/3 in the ninth over. They kept things tight to limit Australia to 164/5 off their 20 overs. The Oman bowlers all performed well, but Mehran Khan (2/38) returned the best figures.

Oman struggled against the Australian bowlers and were in trouble at 57/6 before Ayaan Khan (36) and Mehran Khan (27) found their feet at the crease, although Oman could only reach 125/9 against one of the world’s best attacks.

Oman have given a good account of themselves and should stick with the same squad to see if they can find the gaps against Scotland to earn them an opening win.

After a great start against England in a match that was rained-off, Scotland beat Namibia by five wickets to go top of the Group,

Namibia scored 155/9 off their 20 overs, Brad Wheal (3/33) performing the best with the ball for Scotland.

Scotland started slow before Richie Berrington (47* off 35 balls) and Michael Leask (35 off 17 balls) stole the match with nine balls to spare.
