In their first warm-up, Sri Lanka lost to the Netherlands by 20 runs. They did bounce back to beat Ireland in their last game.

Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 163 in 20 overs against Ireland. The highest score was Angelo Mathews with 32 off 30 balls.

Sri Lanka have a good side with plenty of talent. On their day they can certainly beat anyone, but it remains to be seen whether they can be consistent to challenge the top sides.

South Africa Form

South Africa are considered dark horses in this tournament, but as we are all aware, they often fall below par on the big stage. Coming into this World Cup, the Proteas lost a series 3-0 to the West Indies.

In the final game of the series, South Africa could only muster 163 runs in their 20 overs. Rassie van der Dussen, who is not in the World Cup squad, scored 51 off 31 balls.

The West Indies won the match with ease inside 14 overs as the Proteas bowlers struggled to contain the hosts.

The Proteas have a strong side but quite a few players look woefully out of form. Key to their chances will be Quinton de Kock, Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen, all of whom featured in the recent IPL season.
