India have been well backed to win a second T20 World Cup, according to the bookmakers.

The tournament gets underway in the United States this weekend and the favourites have seen plenty of support so far.

Rohit Sharma’s men head the betting at 5/2 with Coral, while Australia are considered their biggest threat at 7/2.

Holders England are next in the market at 5/1, having seen little support despite their success in the last T20 World Cup.

“Despite being the holders, England have been relatively friendless for the T20 World Cup,” Coral’s Lewis Knowles told FreeTips.com.

“We have seen plenty of support for India though, following some of the excellent form shown by their players in the recent Indian Premier League, and they head our betting to win a second T20 World Championship this year.”
